To reinstall the handle the right way, remove the plastic center cap with a flat head screwdriver. Unscrew the Phillips screw holding your faucet shower knobs in place, then pull the knob off valve under. Flip knob around and change out in the correct position. Tighten the screw and attach the plastic cap back.
